Crittendon

From a letter by Ms. Engles in 1977:
"The only thing we can help you with about Jim Crittendon is my mother & dad moved on his place around Welling, Oklahoma before my brother was born. He was born on Uncle Jim's place but he doesn't remember what relation he was to us. He was a full blood Indian. I believe he was a Cherokee. He had two girls Ada and Lizzie he could remember that much. You could write to Tahlequah, Oklahoma which I believe is the county seat and find out through the Indian roll. I believe he could have been married maybe to either Grandma or Grandpa Brantley's sister, it wasn't one of our aunts."
